Funny Magic Guy
Phil Van Tee

If you wish to secure the very best clean & wholesome performer, the most experienced. the most talented (no brag, just fact) and the one that will make you look really good to your guests because you booked him (-: then hire comedy magician Phil Van Tee!

Phil is the perfect act for mixed age, corporate, and family events.

He has performed as a standup comedian for 20 years and for many years before that as a magician - What a great combination double threat for his important clients now!

No matter what their age, or what size the group, Phil treats all of the audience members to the same really cool tricks that his audience enjoys when he works at the Magic Castle in Hollywood (yes, Phil is a paid performer there!) - they seem to enjoy that it is not a childish clown kind of show (even if it is a bit goofy), the comedy is never off color, and the effects are pretty 'hip', like you might see on the Street Magic T. V. shows.

Phil has been performing delightfully entertaining sleight of hand with simple everyday objects - coins, cards, ropes, dollar bills, etc., and for all ages, for over 3 decades - more than12,000 shows!

He is expert at "closeup style" magic performed just inches away from your eyes. This type of performance may either be performed seated at a large table with folks standing or sitting all around, or 'strolling', person to person or group to group. It's a non-invasive, relaxing, yet fascinating entertainment - friendly and funny, with each aspect of the show unfolding gently & organically.

He can also perform a silly but elegant stage show with your folks tying him up while he pilfers their watches (don't mention this to anyone ahead of time or it won't work!), and then he might borrow a sport coat, plunge a knife thru it (all is well at the end!), or disappear a spectator's ring, only to have it reappear hooked inside of a zippered key wallet deep inside of his pocket (again, don't tell them ahead of time!). And, so much more, so much more...

Phil promises a minimum of 30 to 45 minutes of entertainment, but, at 90% of his shows, he ends up staying and performing table to table or strolling magic for 1 or 2 hours (sometimes more!). Now there's the sign of a guy who just plain loves to perform his art!

As you explore your options, please note that, while Phil may not be the least expensive closeup comedy magician that you hear from, odds are he'll be the funniest, the politest, and the most experienced (check out his many and varied testimonials). He is also able to be extremely entertaining without having to be off color.

And, if you like, he can even arrange for several of your people to be his guest at the Magic Castle in Hollywood where you can audition him live (as well as spending the evening seeing many other wonderful magicians!)

If his usual three piece suit & formal cowboy hat is not appropriate for your function, Phil can wear a standard suit & tie or candy striped street show shirt & top hat.
